Meet Odin, a 5-month-old Pyrenees pup who is equal parts cuddle bug and playful goofball âœ ̈ Why you’ll love Odin: Loves ear scratches & belly rubs (his absolute favorite!) Playful and fun – obsessed with stuffed toys & tug-of-war Smart and eager to please – already knows sit, down, and comes when called Walks well on a leash ‍âTM‚ï ̧ Gets along with other dogs (but plays a little rough!) A few things to know: Odin is teething and currently in his “chew everything” era (toys = YES, cabinets = also YES... unfortunately) He does best crated when alone (a peanut butter Kong keeps him happy!) Not ideal for homes with small children due to puppy nipping Would thrive with medium to large, confident dog companions A fenced yard is a must—this boy loves lounging outside and staying cool The perfect home for Odin: An active household ready for a growing giant, committed to training, structure, and lots of love. Paws on the Ground Colorado's Adoption Policy

The first step is an application. If lifestyle is a good fit for dog applied for the application is sent to the foster for further review. If they approve the applicant is contacted to set up a meet and greet. We also require a home visit before the animal goes home to ensure the environment and fencing (if applicable) is in good condition. The adopter then completes an adoption contract and pays their adoption fee.

The efforts of Paws On The Ground started with an advocacy group to reduce puppy mill commerce which grew into a foster based rescue to help animals from high kill shelters as with taking in the unwanted, displaced and abandoned.
