Odin's Story

Meet Odin, a stunning 3.5-year-old brown Siberian Husky with warm orangish-brown and gray tones, classic white Husky markings, and an affectionate personality that wins everyone over. He weighs 68 pounds and is a friendly, gentle, medium-energy dog who loves people and thrives on companionship.

Odin is a cuddle-bug who leans in for scratches and enjoys meeting new visitors—he happily greets everyone and may try to give them a kiss. Indoors, he is well-mannered, fully house-trained, and sleeps in his crate every night. He loves bedtime so much that he gets the zoomies on his way to his crate. He knows "sit", "shake/paw", and "lay down", comes when called, and generally responds well to verbal cues. His leash manners are decent and continue to improve with simple corrections.

Odin does well with other dogs, cats, and children. He has lived in a busy household with multiple kids and another dog and has handled the activity and noise without stress. He is social, friendly, and easygoing. He is an opportunistic counter-surfer—his breed tendencies, paired with a history of inconsistent feeding before he came to us, means he still gets tempted if food is left unattended.

Outdoors, Odin would thrive with space to run or an adopter who enjoys regular walks and play sessions. He does have a strong curiosity and may bolt out an open door if given the chance, so a secure environment and attentive handling are important.

Odin is healthy, current on all vaccinations as of March 2025, and has made tremendous progress after coming from a situation where he received inadequate care. With time, patience, and consistent love, he has blossomed into a relaxed, affectionate, joyful dog. He is now ready for a home that can give him the activity, attention, and stability he deserves.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, loving Husky who wants nothing more than companionship and a safe place to run and play, Odin may be the perfect match. He has an enormous amount of love to give and will make a wonderful addition to the right home.

To apply to adopt Odin, go to https://centralpaanimalalliance.org/apply-to-adopt
