Odin's Story

I Am Odin. The XL Loverboy.

Hey. I’m Odin. Yes... that Odin. The big one. The 35-pound XL Frenchie with the block head and the marshmallow heart. I’m two years old and I came from San Bernardino Animal Shelter. Not sure how I ended up there, but I do know this — Freedom Frenchie Rescue said, “Yep, he’s ours,” and now I’m living my best life while I wait for my forever people.

No Aggression. Just Vibes.
Let’s get something straight right away: I do not have a single aggressive piece of fur on my body. Not one. I love my dog friends. I adore my foster sister. I’m social, playful, and honestly just happy to be included. And yes... since I got neutered, the whole “overly enthusiastic humping” phase? Retired. We’ve moved on. Growth. Maturity. I’m out here being a respectful gentleman.

Big Dog Energy, Soft Boy Soul
I’m a solid 35 pounds of love and loaf. Super laid back. Professional lounger level. I love laying in the sun outside, soaking it up like it’s my full-time job. I love chasing a ball (bringing it back? that’s optional — I prefer you admire my athleticism). Car rides? Obsessed. I stare out the window like I’m in a music video thinking about my past and my bright future. If you have a big bay window with a bench, congratulations... you just became my favorite person in my favorite place.

House Manners & Daily Routine
I sleep through the night like a champ and haven’t had a single accident since I’ve been here. No belly band either — we’re living boldly (knock on wood). I don’t really “tell” you when I need to go out; my foster just takes me after I wake up and after I eat, and that routine works perfectly for me. I know my name, I run over as soon as I see the leash, and I stand politely while you put it on. I go in my crate without drama — I just prefer to be compensated with a treat. I don’t yell, cry, or bark much. I’m pretty easy, especially now that my hormones are minding their business.

Hydration King (Rescue Edition)
I could drink water all day. Like... all day. Being a rescue sometimes means you’re not always sure when the next meal or full bowl is coming, so some of us overdo it at first. I just like knowing it’s there. In time, I’ll understand that my bowl will always be full and I can relax into that security. For now, I hydrate like a champion.

Allergy Note (Nothing Dramatic)
I’ve got some mild allergy stuff going on — nothing wild. Just need a healthy diet and weekly baths right now until everything settles. I lick my paws a bit, but spa days are part of my glow-up anyway. I can’t get a bath until I’m cleared post-surgery, but after that it’s self-care season.

The Important Stuff
I love cheese with my entire soul. I like stealing Cardi’s toy and laying on it like I won something. I’m big, gentle, affectionate, and just happy to be part of a home. I don’t have a mean bone in my body — just a big block head full of love.

PS 35 pounds of XL Frenchie goodness. Zero aggression. Maximum heart.

Apply for me. I’m ready for my forever.
Odin is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, you can apply for him on freedomfrenchierescue.org. He is located in Mesa, AZ and his adoption donation fee is $1100.00.

*Please Note: All learning and guidance must continue in their new home. A dog’s behavior can change with a new environment and energy, and every family’s dynamic is different. What works or is allowed in one foster home may not be the same in yours, so consistency, patience, and continued training are key to their success.
