Please meet this very very good boy Odin! Not only is he super smart but he's got those good looks to boot! Odin finds himself in need of a new place to hang his leash, and he's anxiously awaiting the day when he can join his new family! Odin has been neutered, vetted, microchipped, and has received a clean bill of health from our vet. Please read on for his story, and for instructions on how to request an application for him!<br/><br/>Here is what we know about ODIN:<br/><br/>- Odin is a @ 1 year old purebred German Shepherd who weighs about 70lbs. We don't anticipate him getting much bigger. As you can see, he is absolutely gorgeous and a complete showstopper. <br/><br/>- Odin finds himself in need of a new home due to his prior family not having enough time to dedicate to his care, training, and activity level. He has a great foundation already - he is crate trained, housebroken, and walks well on a leash. He needs a firm and consistent owner who will continue his training and reinforcements and also ensure that his place "in the pack" is established right away. This will ensure that Odin is the absolute best boy he can be! <br/><br/>- Odin is sweet, curious, and playful. He loves people and other dogs. He also loves the water, and loves to play fetch! <br/><br/>- A fun fact about Odin is that he was evaluated by a Police K9 trainer before coming into rescue to determine exactly what type of shepherd this boy is, and he is very much a "pet line" shepherd who doesn't show any signs of the "working shepherd" tendencies that canine handlers train. During his evaluation, Odin showed absolutely zero aggression, was very social, and attached to his foster mom. He will be an awesome companion dog for the right family! <br/><br/>** During his evaluation, it was determined that Odin would be better served as a family pet and not a trained service dog. His disposition is far better suited for family life! **<br/><br/>- Odin is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has received a clean bill of health.<br/><br/>- Odin currently lives happily in his foster home with other dogs and gets along just fine with them. Odin loves going to doggy daycare for playdates, and we think he would really thrive with a playmate comparable to his size and energy level in his new home. <br/><br/>- Odin's new home probably shouldn't have any feline friends - Odin likes to chase them, and would likely scare them away while trying to play. <br/><br/>- Odin would make a great family dog for kids 7+ who are old enough to understand doggy boundaries. He would love to grow up with human siblings who will provide him with lots of playtime and entertainment!<br/><br/>- We would love Odin to go to a breed experienced home with a fenced in yard for him to run to his heart's content! He would also love an active family who would talk him on neighborhood walks and maybe bring a frisbee to the dog park with him! <br/><br/>What we love about Odin: He is the most handsome guy in town! <br/><br/>Is Odin the one for you? If so, he's got his doggie bags packed and is ready to make his way home to you! His adoption fee is $550!
