Odie - Utah's Story

Odie is a good natured, affectionate young doxie boy who wants to lay his head in your lap and hang out with you on the sofa. He also likes curling up with other dogs in the home. He would be in heaven if allowed to sleep with his owners in the big bed.

He came into rescue after being hit by a car, and had a fractured right rear femur. Had a very expensive surgery, but the leg is as good as new says his vet.

2 years old, and about 24 pounds. No cats. But Odie loves other non-alpha dogs, and would benefit from another fur companion.

He hasn't been walked much by his elderly former foster bc he's a young strong boy. He would really love a chance to explore and get exercise. He's got longer legs than usual so he may be ok with a few stairs in the home. Also, mixes tend to have few genetic health problems.

If you're interested in adopting Odie, please complete an adoption application on our website to be pre-approved and then we can schedule a meet and greet with your pack: www.dachshundrescueoflosangeles.com
