ODIE's Story
Please read ALL of this listing prior to asking questions. If you are interested in Odell and feel that you would be a good match for him you must first fill out an application here (please copy and paste the link): https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ After we receive your application we will contact you... thank you!

Odie is an adorable little guy who needs a new home because of the health of his elderly guardians. He even has had his DNA checked... it turns out he is 25% Chihuahua, 25% Shih Tzu, 12.5% French Bulldog, 12.5% Pekingese, 12.5% Toy Fox Terrier. He's about 7-years-old and weighs about 14-lbs.

Odie is a very social little guy and fits in about everywhere. His foster mom takes him with her when she volunteers at a museum, and Odie is the official greeter! Even though he was an 'only dog' in his previous home, he loves the companionship of other dogs in his foster home, along with the freedom to run and play in a securely fenced yard .

Odie is crate trained and well housetrained... he even scratches at the door to ask to go out to 'potty'. He loves his crate and will often go into it during the day to rest and he also sleeps in it

Odie is a very affectionate little boy... if there's a lap available he will take up residence on it! He walks well on a leash and loves going for long walks and rides in the car.

We are looking for a family for Odie where he will have companionship during the day, and will not be left at home alone while the family is at work. Either someone who works from home or a young and active retiree would be perfect for this little boy. Odie loves going for rides in a car, and gets very excited when the leash comes out. We're hoping that he'll be able to go on many adventures with his new family!

Odie is current on his Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines and is neutered and microchipped. He tested negative for Heartworms and is on Heartworm prevention.

Odie's adoption fee is $400.00. We accept checks or cash for adoption fees... sorry, we do not take cards.

Odie is a loving, active, and smart little boy who deserves only the best home and family! If you feel that Odie would be a good match for your family, you must first fill out an application here (please copy and paste): https://foreverhomek9rescue.org/adoption-application/ .

Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a three-week trial period with all of our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adopting family. The fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have their perfect 'forever' home!

Although Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, we never ship or transport our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them.
