Odie's Story

Meet Odie, a spirited catahoula mix who is absolutely bursting with life! This high-energy guy is the ultimate candidate for an active owner who loves playtime, fetch, or dog sports. Odie is a "soulmate" dog who tends to form his deepest bonds with women and loves to be his persons dedicated shadow.

While he is full of love for his inner circle, Odie is a bit of a "discerning gentleman" when it comes to choosing friends. He prefers to pick his friends carefully and would likely thrive best as the king of his castle or with very slow, structured introductions to other dogs and people. If you're looking for a devoted, active partner who will always keep you on your toes, Odie is ready to go!

Odie spent months in a rescue kennel and didn't get to experience a lot of normal life. It can be scary for him. Patience and going at his speed works quite well. He does good at Lowe's, he swims in a pool and is learning all sorts of adventures. He recently went paddle boarding and willingly jumped off to swim.

Although he is an older pup, he still has accidents in the kennel/house. He spent so long "going" in the kennel at the rescue, it seems to be a hard habit to break. Scheduled outside time and attention to water intake definitely help.

https://form.jotform.com/furryfriendsrescue1/AdoptionApplication
