Odie's Story
Odie is the very definition of a good boy. He lives to make his people happy and manages to charm absolutely everyone he meets. He has proudly appointed himself the household Squirrel Supervisor - he loves to lounge outside, quietly observing the squirrels as they go about their day.

Inside, Odie’s main mission is to cuddle. He loves to snuggle up with his humans and occasionally takes a break to enjoy his toys. You can often find him snuggled up on the couch with numerous stuffies collected around him.

Odie does have occasional seizures, but they are well managed with daily medication. With his routine in place, he continues to be the happy, easygoing guy he’s always been.

Everyone loves Odie, and Odie loves everyone right back. He’s wonderful with kids, dogs, and cats, making him an ideal family companion or a steady, even-keeled buddy for someone looking for a loyal sidekick. He’s house-trained, doesn’t need a crate, and is so ready to meet his forever people.

Odi is estimated to be eight years old and 45 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.

If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events. Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ for confirmed attendance the morning of the event.
