Odessa's Story

COURTESY POST: Cute Odessa and her two surviving siblings didn't have a great start in life. The owner's family bought the mother so they could make some extra money by having babies. They paid for the stud and then the puppies arrived. The owners/breeder ws never home and were clueless about all that a litter of pups would entail. . The mom and 13 babies were left outside in the elements without food. Slowly but surely they started to die, one at a time.

The family didn't think anything of it. They shrugged it off and said "oh well" and even then didn't think of caring for the ones that were still left. These puppies have been living in the cold.

A friend reached out and asked if we could save them "IF" they could surrender them to us.

We said yes and here they are. The day they came, they hadn't eaten for almost 4 days. Their little bellies were huge and they could hardly stand. Upon being checked by the vet, it was concluded that they would eventually be okay. They received their first vaccine and dewormer and a much needed bath. The vet also mentioned the horrible chop job that was done to dock their tails. It was not done in a clean surgical way. These girls have suffered quite the ordeal. Odessa is the smallest of the three puppies.

A week later, no more big bellies and they are romping around being sweet puppies and are ready for their loving forever homes. The perfect family for each one of these girls is a family that is familiar with the breed and has time to train and love a puppy into a great dog. They are sweet, curious and ready to be adopted.Their lovely momma dog will also available for adoption and posted soon. Puppies are crate trained and potty training is progressing..

The puppies come with the standard medical package: first round of vaccinations, de-wormed, flea and tick and heartworm preventatives, microchipped and will need to return to be spayed at the age appropriate time.

If you have experience and the patience needed to work with a puppy and provide it with a lifetime of love, please submit an application. Not suited for apartment living. Please submit an application.
