OCEAN's Story
From Ocean's Foster mom: My foster girl, Ocean, resting at home after our evaluation session at Dog Walker Ranch with trainer Cierra. Ocean is the best girl, but can be a little strong on the leash so she and I will be “going to school” to learn proper leash skills! She has been with me for 10 days now and there are so many good things to know about her. Ocean is completely housebroken and has had not one accident here. She is definitely food and treat motivated, but does not resource guard her food or toys. My 15 lb dachshund mix steals from her and bosses her around! Ocean takes it all in stride. Ocean was known to bark and make a ruckus at her kennel door at the shelter, but I believe it was because she just wants to be with people. I have barely heard a peep out of her here! She will give a Woof in support of my little guy who barks like crazy but in general is quiet. Ocean is not a fan of the crate, but she can be left alone for hours and seems to just nap until we return. She has never been destructive while here. We’ve had one meeting with my inside cat and it went well, but she does get a little excited when the barn cat runs by the patio door. Ocean loves car rides and hops in on command and sits nicely. Meeting people, big and small, is her favorite thing and she shows it with her whole body wiggle and kisses. We will be doing some field trips as part of training where perhaps Ocean will meet her future forever family.
