Obie's Story
Obie is a 1.5-year-old dachshund mix (we aren't sure what he is mixed with). He found his way to our rescue, as he needed life-saving surgery after he was attacked by a big dog.

Obie is sweet and a total lap dog! He loves his toys and is a total food hound.

He will be ready for adoption the third week of July once his metal staples are out and we have run lab work. We are not sure if he gets along with cats. He is fine with other dogs, but due to recent trauma, we would prefer to place him in a home with small dogs.

He is good with kids, but he also had a foreign body in his stomach when he had his reconstructive surgery, so we don't want to put him with kids younger than 12, since they usually have a lot of toys and stuff lying around. We only adopt to homes with securely fenced yards, and this puppy enjoys being outside. He is good with pottying outside if let out regularly.

https://portlanddachshundrescue.org/adoptionform
