Oaklyn's Story

Meet Oaklyn...again

This sweet girl is exactly that. Oaklyn was previously adopted but returned due to incompatibility with her prior home, not due to a lack of good qualities. Since being back with her trainers, she has settled in well and continues to show a friendly, engaging personality.

Oaklyn is house trained, crate trained, and has a strong training foundation through JPK9 Oklahoma. She retains the majority of her training, has great public access skills, and knows her obedience well. She can attend weekly group classes and has access to lifetime 1:1 touch-up sessions as needed.
Because she has already been through training, she is what we call a battle buddy alumni. Meaning she will not go through the training again if adopted by a veteran but her adoption fee will be waived!

She loves to play with other dogs and has a fun, playful side-especially when a ball is involved

Oaklyn is currently on a weight loss journey. She came back to us at about 84 pounds and is working toward a healthier range of 65-70 pounds. She has also shown a slight limp, which may be related to her weight and we will continue to monitor as she progresses.

She is heartworm positive and currently back on prevention, so she will need a family committed to keeping up with her care moving forward.

Oaklyn is a loving, social dog who already has a great foundation-she just needs the right home to give her consistency, structure, and the attention she thrives on.

Adopt: oklahomagsr.org/adopt
Foster: oklahomagsr.org/foster
