Oakley's Story

Meet Oakley

Oakley is a 7-year-old senior lady who came to us from another county and has been settling in over the past few months. She's independent, stubborn, and very much knows what she wants-this is a dog with opinions.

She has good leash manners and does best with calm, respectful handling. While Oakley isn't immediately affectionate, she can be sweet with someone who's willing to give her time, patience, and consistency. Once trust is built, her softer (and slightly goofy) side starts to show-especially if you discover her favorite thing: being scratched with a toilet brush, which she absolutely loves.

Oakley is looking for an experienced, understanding home that appreciates a strong personality and is willing to work for that loving, cuddly side. She may not be a lap dog, but for the right person, Oakley will be a uniquely rewarding companion.
