Oakley is a 9-month-old Black Lab mix with a big heart, an even bigger personality, and plenty of love to share. At around 45 pounds, she's the perfect mix of playful puppy and loyal companion.<br/><br/>Oakley is happiest when she's playing fetch, exploring on walks, working on a puzzle toy, or spending time with her favorite people. She's incredibly smart, eager to learn, and loves positive reinforcement-especially if treats are involved! She already knows a lot and continues to make great progress with her training.<br/><br/>One of Oakley's biggest accomplishments has been learning how to interact with both people and other dogs. She has been doing wonderfully with introductions to new people and continues to build her confidence every day. She can still be a little excited on walks and may pull at first, but she's getting much better at heeling when asked.<br/><br/>Oakley would likely thrive with a canine companion. She enjoys other dogs once she's had a little time to get acquainted and has shown just how beautifully she can play with dog friends in a fenced yard. A confident, playful resident dog could be a wonderful match and help her continue to blossom.<br/><br/>Like any young Lab, Oakley still has some puppy habits she's outgrowing, including occasional playful nipping when she gets excited. She's fully house-trained and learns quickly, making continued training both fun and rewarding.<br/><br/>Originally from Oklahoma, Oakley came to MARS as "KitKat," but her new name fits her adventurous spirit perfectly.
