Oakley's Story
Oakley is a 4-1/2 year old lab mix who came to us when his owner could not find housing to accept him in a move.

Oakley is use to rural living and did not have much restraint in his home so getting used to town noises and restraint on leashes has been a learning experience he is catching on quick to.

He likes the car and travels well. He has lived with cats successfully and has not shown much interest in them at the shelter. Oakley has been good with the female dogs he has met. He would have to meet any dog in a home to ensure a good fit, but female may be best match.

Oakley had not been to a vet prior to us getting him so he is getting updated on vaccines and being neutered. At this time he can be pretty humpy when stressed and he has some learning to do. He has lived with kids and did not mind some but found others stressful to be around so he is looking for an adult home or older kid where he can be the baby. He is friendly but can be nervous about meeting people at first. Usually within a minute he is good friends.
