Oakley's Story

Meet Oakley! He’s a 3.5 year old Chihuahua and Dachshund mix. He was surrendered to our rescue when his owner passed away. Family tried to keep Oakley, but the resident dogs were having a rough time adjusting. No fault of Oakleys. Oakley is a great dog! He loves other dogs, but is nervous at first. He does great with cats and chickens as well! Oakley loves to sleep in bed with his humans! He will sleep all night long. He loves to curl up on the couch during the day or even go for a walk to sniff some stuffs! Oakley LOVES to play fetch and will play as long as you let him. Oakley is potty and crate trained. He does not need to be crated when left alone, but he will tolerate if needed during a transition period! Oakley is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped & heartworm negative. Fill out an application for Oakley at sianimalrescue.org. He will be ready for adoption on or after Monday January 19th. We are accepting applications now at sianimalrescue.org Oakley has an adoption fee of $250.
