Oakie's Story

Oakie is seeking a family to give him all of the love...and the snacks. He is a gentle giant that loves affection from his people. He is working hard on his loose leash walking skills and will benefit from continued rewards-based training. Long sniff walks are his love language! Oakie can be rushed in approach to other dogs but has been social and appropriate upon greeting up close here at Gigi's. We recommend slow intros and we are happy to help conduct meet and greets to potential house dogmates prior to adoption. Oakie is a large-sized mixed breed approximately 5 years young, and currently weighs 70.5 pounds Gigi's offers Training and Puppy Classes, as well as Private Behavior sessions and Veterinary Behavioral options to help get families and their new furry family members off on the right paw! Check out: https://gigisbehavior.org Oakie has received their full-service vet care, vaccines, is spayed/neutered, pre-adoption behavior support, microchip and more. To meet this dog or any of our other ready-for-adoption dogs, visit Gigi's during our open adoption hours listed on www.gigis.org. By adopting a Gigi's Grad, you are helping other shelter dogs in need get vital care and an opportunity to find a new family, just like yours - together we're improving the lives of shelter dogs.
