Which turns out to be a big win for whoever has the pleasure of adopting this babe. Oak is a 1.5 year old border collie mix who shows her gratitude for being out of the shelter every single second of the day. She loves to trot around with a big silly smile on her face and her tail always wagging. Oak is great with other dogs and is a very submissive and gentle player and very tolerant of the roughhousing antics of the resident dog. <br/><br/>The shelter was told she is house trained and that appears to be accurate! She settles down in her crate during the day after about 5-10 minutes and at night goes straight to bed without a peep. She has also previously lived with cats. <br/><br/>While Oak is not quite as high energy as other border collies weve fostered (she actually seems to have an off switch!), she is still young and has a working breed in her, so any potential adopters must be ready for the commitment of daily exercise for this girl. <br/><br/>If endless happiness, loyalty, and overwhelming love sounds good to you (and it sure does to us!), apply for Oak today! <br/><br/>Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
