Nyx's Story

Nyxs life was almost over before she ever had the chance to live it.<br/>In a crowded southern shelter, she was placed on the euthanasia list — a oneyearold Belgian Malinois with no hope, no advocate, and no time left.<br/>But fate had other plans.<br/>A rescue partner saw her name, her photo, and the quiet fear in her eyes... and refused to let her story end there. Calls were made. Transport was arranged. And in the final hours, Nyx was pulled to safety — shivering, exhausted, but alive.<br/>And once she arrived in the North, something extraordinary happened:<br/>Nyx bloomed.<br/>This young Malinois is bright, affectionate, deeply intuitive, and ready to bond with someone who sees her potential. Shes fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, healthy, and friendly with most dogs. Adirondack Save-A-Stray's Adoption Policy
You must be 21 years of age or older to adopt. In some cases, proof of age may be required. You must have a valid ID showing your name and present address. Valid identification consists of a current driver's license, major credit, passport or current utility bill. If you are married and not accompanied by your spouse Adirondack Save A Stray must be able to speak with the husband or wife. If the potential adopter is living with a roommate, the roommate must be contacted. If living with their parents, approval must be provided by them (even if of age). Prior approval is needed for renters. No Gift Adoptions!!! The person who will be responsible for the pet must be present at the time of adoption in order to sign the adoption agreement.
