NYLA's Story

Sage is a 1-year-old, 67-pound bundle of personality with just the right amount of sass to keep you smiling. She's up to date on vaccines, already spayed, and knows a few basic commands-she'll sit, lay down, and even shake (sometimes offering both paws just to show off).

She's wonderful with kids and loves being part of whatever her people are doing-especially if it means she gets to go with you. Sage hasn't quite figured out her size yet and can be a bit much for smaller dogs during play, but it's all in good fun. She may chase the cat, but never with intent to harm-just curiosity and a little sass.

Sage is still working on potty training and will need a patient, consistent home. She struggles with separation anxiety, so she'll do best with someone who is around often or willing to help her build confidence when alone. She can be a little protective over her food and has a talent for getting into the trash if given the chance.

She doesn't like lick mats and doesn't do well in a kennel-however, if crating is necessary, she'll need a heavy-duty kennel. What she does love is being with her people. Whether it's riding along on errands or curling up in bed at night, Sage wants to be right by your side.

If you're looking for a loyal, entertaining, slightly chaotic best friend who just wants to be included in your life, Sage is your girl.
