Nyla's Story

The biographical information provided is correct to the best of our knowledge while the animal is in our care or includes what may have been provided by a previous owner. We strive to be honest and accurate, but animals can change their personalities and behavior when they settle into a new home. IDR+ makes no guarantees based on the information we observe and provide.

Meet Nyla! Nyla is a 1-year-old mini doodle/cockapoo-type girl with a personality that’s equal parts sweet and spicy. She’s full of fun, a little mischievous, and has a playful “tomboy” streak. Nyla loves to roughhouse with the boy dogs in her foster home and keeps everyone on their toes with her energy and enthusiasm. She’s likely to do well with kids too, thanks to her playful and affectionate nature.

At a year old, she still has plenty of puppy energy, but she also knows how to settle down and relax. Nyla is just starting to discover that cuddling with her foster mom is actually a pretty great thing, and she’s becoming more affectionate every day.

She does not need to be crated during the day, but she settles easily into her crate at night and keeps it clean and dry. Potty training is still a work in progress, but Nyla is incredibly smart and eager to learn, so she’s expected to catch on quickly.

Nyla enjoys chasing cats in her foster home, but it’s all playful curiosity—she’s not trying to harm them. Because of her doodle-type coat, she will need regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best.

Like many young, energetic dogs, Nyla would really benefit from continued training to help channel her smarts and energy into becoming the best companion she can be. With structure, activity, and a family ready for a fun-loving dog, Nyla will make a fantastic addition to the right home.

We do a vet check, landlord/association verification, and home visit to ensure a permanent placement for our wonderful animals. Thank you for considering rescue! We look forward to working with you. IDR+ is a network of foster homes; therefore, we do not have a location to visit. The first step in meeting our adoptable animals is the specific application at www.ILDobeRescue.com for a Doberman, Plus dog (non-Dobe), or cat. Approved adopters are then directed to our foster homes.
