Nyla's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Nyla, pronounced Nala, is a sweet, special girl who is looking for a new home. Nyla came to us from our owner surrender program. She is unsure of new people at first, but she just needs a little adjustment time. Once she feels safe in a home, she truly is very sweet and loving. This girl loves her belly rubs and scratches behind her ear. She gets very excited when her foster parents come home. She will bark at strangers, but warms up pretty quickly. Nyla is currently on a special diet for stomach sensitivities. She might not be able to hear very well because of her ear hematomas; they are being removed in early February.

Nyla likes to cuddle in bed and on the couch. Every now and then she gets excited and plays with toys. She is fine with other dogs but we haven't yet seen her play with them.

Nyla is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines, heartworm and flea & tick preventatives. She had a dental procedure in January. Nyla tested negative for heartworm. She will not be available for adoption until medically cleared most likely not prior to mid February. Her adoption fee is $300.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.

If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please click HERE.
