Nuri was rescued from the street during cold winter in Korea.<br/><br/>She is a calm, gentle, and intelligent Jindo mix who adapted immediately to her foster home and does wonderfully indoors.<br/><br/>Nuri enjoys people but may be slightly cautious at first. Once comfortable, her sweet and composed personality really shines. She especially loves women and appears most comfortable with female caregivers.<br/><br/>Nuri would thrive in a calm home, ideally without noisy dogs, with a patient and understanding family—especially one that appreciates a gentle, quiet companion. She is a truly well-mannered dog who is ready to bond and settle beautifully into her forever home.<br/><br/>1. Suitability for a home with children<br/><br/>She has not had direct experience with young children, so it’s hard to say for sure. However, based on her personality, she would likely do fine as long as the children are not very young.<br/><br/>4. Fear of men or women<br/><br/>She prefers women over men, especially women in their 40s. This may be because her previous owner was likely a woman in that age range.<br/><br/>5. Reaction to other dogs and cats<br/><br/>She gets along well with other dogs but tends to avoid dogs that bark a lot. When she encounters cats during walks, she simply watches them calmly without reacting.<br/><br/>6. Shedding<br/><br/>She does shed, but not excessively.<br/><br/>7. Walking skills / leash & harness<br/><br/>She walks exceptionally well—almost perfectly. She follows slightly behind her handler and moves cautiously in unfamiliar places, first taking time to sniff and assess her surroundings.<br/><br/>16. Interest in toys<br/><br/>She only shows interest for about one second. It seems likely she has never really played with toys before.<br/><br/>17. Food/Resources Guarding<br/><br/>None<br/><br/>18.Health issues or special care needs<br/><br/>She is healthy. Cardiac auscultation showed no abnormalities. Tests for parasites, parvovirus, and heartworm were all negative. All five core vaccinations are completed.<br/><br/>19. Ideal family / additional notes<br/><br/>She would do best in a home without dogs that bark frequently, as she tends to avoid noisy dogs. A calm household, especially with a female caregiver who understands her gentle nature, would be ideal. She rides elevators and cars very well and has excellent manners overall. She is an intelligent dog, and it likely won’t take her long to understand new situations and open her heart to her family.
