Nugget's Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue.

Nugget is a handsome boy who is dreaming of a home for the holidays. He would love to belong to a family that will include him in their plans. Whether it's going for walks or napping on a pile of blankets this guy is ready to go. Nugget has been friendly towards other dogs that he has met along the way but what he really wants is to be someone's one and only. He is an amazing companion and deserves the attention. Nugget will benefit from a home with a securely fenced back yard where he can enjoy the scents and sounds of the great outdoors. He might bark when left alone which makes apartments a no go for this fella.

Nugget has never lived with cats but we think that he would be fine with a dog savvy cat who has a safe place to observe Nugget while he adapts to his new surroundings. Nugget has been a friend to all people. Young children can be quick and unpredictable, therefore, we are asking for a home without children under 12 years of age.

Nugget recently received an exam before neutering. He is microchipped, neutered and up to date on his vaccines. Nugget weighs 16 pounds and is 6 years old.

Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog.
