NUGGET's Story
THERE IS NO END TO THE NICK NAME POSSIBILITIES WITH THIS ONE.

He comes to Nugget, Nuggy Nug, Huggy Nug, Nuggy Bear, Huggy Nuggy, Chicken Nugget, Nug Nug, Nuggy Nuggy and of course, Puppers.

This is a super nice dog who was born into some not so super nice circumstances.

Momma was a reservation stray and gave birth, without benefit of home or love, on the Yakama reservation.

Another rescue was able to secure mom and pups and the pups were accepted for transfer, by a west side rescue that had over booked. By the time they had room, the "pups" had become adolescents and were no longer eligible for transport to that rescue.

The rescue that had them, began reaching out to local rescues and we happened to have one opening, and selected Nugget because we have a thing for dogs with wonky ears.

Nugget's social skills were a little underdeveloped, when he first arrived. He was shy and timid and unsure about many things most dogs take for granted, like attention, toys, indoor manners and trust but man oh man, did this dude catch on fast. In his foster home, where five personal dogs co-exist, along with six other foster dogs, Nugget has the best indoor manners of all of them. Oh sure, he will still counter surf from time to time or steal a slipper, because he is a puppy but he is calm and well behaved, crate trained, house trained, good on a leash, travels well, is gentle with treats, has learned to play with and love toys, could not care less about cats, loves to play with other dogs and is just generally, a really really good pup.

We cannot say for sure, if Nugget is Boxer Shepherd mix. Rumor has it, his mom was a boxer mix and there were German Shepherds, Dobermans and even Mastiff's sniffing around her, who could all be possible dads. Only a DNA test will tell the true tale but he has such a lovely temperament once he feels safe and is a very easy dog to have around, especially for how young he is.

Nuggy is about 7 months old, weighs 47lbs and should max out in the mid fifties, if he is not over fed. He has not been around small children so older kids would probably be best and we feel he has the possibilites of being a good watch dog, though he is not an excessive barker. He just sounds the alarm, when their is weirdness happening.

If you would like to meet this very handsome boy, please go to our website at www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and submit the application. With approval we would love to set up a date and see if the sparks fly.

Nugget is neutered, up to date on five way and rabies vaccinations, wormed, flea and tick free and microchipped. He has a good solid start in life now and would be an awesome adventure buddy, walking companion or RV,Camping, Hiking side kick or just kick it at home best friend.

Adoption Fee is $350

PLEASE NOTE*:

* We require notes from certified doctors when
requesting a dog as an ESA
*Inquiries submitted through Petfinder, are not the
same as applications submitted through our webpage.
*Yes we do out of state adoptions.
*No, we do not transport. You must be willing to come
and meet the dog and take it home with you.
*Yes we do Canadian adoptions.
*If the dog is on Petfinder, it is still available.
*You must be 18 years of age to adopt
*If you submit questions about an adoptable dog,
covered in the Petfinder bio, we will not respond.
*We do not pick the first good application. We pick the
most suitable application for the dog, out of all
submitted.
*All correspondence is handled via email as time allows.
* If you are not chosen, you will not be notified

For a more detailed explanation of our adoption process, go to www.allmuttsgreatandsmall.org/adoption and read "The Adoption Process" link
