Nuanphong's Story

*Name: Nuanphong
*Age: 3 years (born approximately September 2025)
*Current Weight: 40lbs
*Rescued from: Thailand
*Adoption fee: $550 (includes $50 refundable positive training commitment deposit)

Meet Nuanphong!

Nuanphong is a resilient, loving boy who has overcome incredible odds and continues to greet the world with kindness and trust.

Nuanphong arrived at Soi Dog Foundation's hospital in Thailand in February 2025 after surviving a road traffic accident at just two years old. He suffered fractures to his lower jaw and injuries to his left forelimb. During his examination, veterinarians also discovered neurological damage affecting both front legs, likely from previous trauma. While his right forelimb improved with treatment and physiotherapy, his left forelimb unfortunately did not recover and ultimately required amputation.

Despite everything he endured, Nuanphong adapted beautifully. He recovered well from surgery and now walks comfortably on his remaining three legs without signs of pain or limitation.

Today, Nuanphong is a confident, friendly, and affectionate dog who genuinely enjoys meeting people. He happily approaches visitors for attention and pets and gets along well with other dogs. He enjoys occasional play with his canine friends and calmly explores his surroundings both on and off leash. Nuanphong walks confidently through busy environments and, like many tripods, occasionally enjoys taking little rest breaks along the way.

Nuanphong's story is one of resilience, adaptability, and hope. He has endured hardship most dogs should never experience, yet he remains gentle, social, and full of love to give. This special boy is ready for a forever home where he can finally leave his past behind and simply be cherished.

All of our dogs come with a 7-week group Beginner course at Bark n' Roll in North Reading included with adoption.
