Nova's Story

Nova is Accepting Applications!

Nova is a spunky 6 lb, eight week old puppy who joined our rescue after being saved by a Good Samaritan witnessing someone dumping her. She was being left in a box in an alley, right here in Galt. This could have been a tragic ending for this puppy as the streets are cruel to such young and susceptible puppies, but it turned into Nova’s new beginning.

She was brought into our rescue and found to have Coccidia which she was treated for through our amazing Vet, Hammer Lane Veterinary Hospital. After her exam and treatment, Nova will be ready for her new home soon. She is now accepting applications so we can process and screen her potential adopter. She has started her DAPP vaccines, been dewormed, treated for Coccidia, microchipped, vet exam and has her spay and rabies scheduled for when she is old enough.

Nova is a spitfire puppy who wants to explore and play. She is a beautiful puppy with the personality to match. She is not our “norm” in being a small breed pup but we love all dogs... Big and Small. A puppy in need is a puppy in need. She will be a medium/large breed dog when full grown. We do not know what breeds she is mixed with but we can say she is 100% amazing. She loves to play with toys and is a silly girl. She has not met cats yet but with proper introduction we feel she would do fine. She has not met kids yet and due to her age, she does love to “chomp” and is teething so very young children would not be a good fit for Nova. She will need someone who is willing to continue to train her and teach her potty training and good behavior. Puppies require consistency and patience for success.

If you would like to schedule an appointment to meet Nova, please fill out an application. Make sure to scroll all the way to the bottom and follow the directions to submit the requested documents or your application cannot be processed.
