Nova's Story

Meet Nova!

Hi! My name is Nova, and Im a sweet little Maltese/Poodle mix thats around 23 years old. I may not be the first one to run up and say hello... but once you earn my trust, youll have a friend for life.

Now, let me tell you a little secret... Im not broken, Im just a shy girl. New people and new places can be scary, so I need someone who understands that good things take time. If youre looking for an instant lap dog, I might not be your girl. But if youre looking for a best friend who will slowly learn that youre her safe place, I promise Im worth every minute.

Heres a little about me:
Good with other dogs
Good with cats
House trained
Crate trained

My dream home would have another playful dog because I absolutely LOVE having a canine buddy to chase, wrestle, and play with. Other dogs help me feel safe and show me that the world isnt so scary after all.

I will also need a secure fenced yard. When I get frightened, my first instinct is to hide, so a safe yard is very important for me.

Leashes are still a little scary, but once I trust my people and learn our routine, I do so much better. I really thrive on consistency, patience, and love. Changes can make me nervous, but once I know Im safe, youll see my sweet and goofy personality start to shine.

They say the best things in life are worth waiting for... and I think Im one of those things.

If you think you might be my forever family, wed love to hear from you!

Email: pawsforjuliarescue@gmail.com
Text: (209) 447-7666

To start the adoption process, please contact us for an application.
