Nova #7's Story
🐾 HOW TO ADOPT: The fastest way to start is to submit an adoption application directly (labs4rescue.com/adopt). Please use our official website rather than the Petfinder "Start your Inquiry" button.

Meet Nova #7 — an incredibly sweet, smart, and beautiful 1-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever weighing about 44 pounds of pure sweetness. What Nova lacks in size, she more than makes up for with her adorable personality and loving nature.

Nova is doing wonderfully in her foster home and continues to blossom every day. She is pretty good on leash, loves other dogs, and would do best in a home with another friendly dog and a securely fenced yard. Having a canine companion has really helped her confidence grow.

Since arriving in foster care, Nova has become both house trained and crate trained. She has adjusted beautifully to home life and takes everything in stride — she is not bothered by the vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, or other loud noises.
When Nova first arrived, she was an under-socialized dog who was unsure of many new things, including stairs. Thanks to patience, love, and guidance from her foster family, she has come such a long way. She now handles the stairs quite well — going up is easy for her, and while she is still a little cautious coming down, she continues to improve every day.

Nova has truly flourished in her foster home and has become not only a stunningly beautiful dog, but an incredibly sweet and gentle companion. She is ready to find a patient, loving family that will continue helping her build confidence and enjoy the happy life she deserves.

QUESTIONS: For additional information about Nova #7 please email Ann Hilchey: ann.hilchey@labs4rescue.org

Nova #7 is being fostered in Connecticut.

BEFORE YOU APPLY: Please review our "Adopt a Lab" page (labs4rescue.com/adopt) and our Sample Adoption Contract.
