Nova is an 11-month-old Belgian shepherd Malinois type, who loves her people and truly wants to be a good girl in her forever home. đŸ’› She will be placed only with an experienced handler.<br/><br/>Location: Ottawa (transport available)<br/><br/>Despite a rough start to life, Nova has shown incredible resilience. In just one month in foster care, she has made amazing progress and is blossoming into a wonderful young dog with so much potential. ✨<br/><br/>About Nova:<br/>• 11-month-old female<br/>• Medium energy with a high food drive (a training dream!)<br/>• Spayed and fully vaccinated<br/>• Crate trained, prong and e-collar trained<br/>• Basic obedience: sit, down, leash walking, and off-leash recall<br/>• Friendly with people, but has boundaries—she does not appreciate random touches from strangers, especially on leash<br/>• Off-leash, muzzled introductions with new people set her up for success<br/>• Can be around other dogs but should be muzzled while she continues learning appropriate social skills<br/>• Smart, sassy, and independent<br/><br/>Nova’s Ideal Home:<br/>• Active home committed to daily off-leash runs<br/>• No apartments<br/>• No kids or cats<br/>• Experienced, dog-savvy handler who will continue her training and build her confidence<br/><br/>Nova is looking for someone who sees her potential and wants a loyal partner to grow with.
