Nova's Story

Meet Nova — proof that good things really do come in small, snorty packages.

At just 10 month old and 25 pounds, Nova is a micro American Bully with the build of a Boston Terrier or Frenchie and the head of a pit bull. In other words… she’s basically a cartoon character come to life. And the best part? She barely sheds, if at all.

Nova has already survived more than most dogs ever should. She was rescued from an overcrowded Oklahoma shelter with less than an hour to live, and now she’s thriving in Dallas, waiting for her forever family.

Her daily routine is a mix of comedy and sweetness:

Bedtime: she insists on curling into a ball by your head, serenading you with snorts and grunts that sound exactly like Gizmo from Gremlins.

Playtime: she’s a pro at fetch and takes her squeaker-destroying duties very seriously (RIP squeaky toys everywhere).

Training time: she’s super treat motivated, learns fast, and struts on a leash like she owns the block.

Nova adores kids and dogs of all sizes, from 10-pound dachshunds to 80-pound pitties. Cats, however, should apply for witness protection — she’s convinced they’re just squeaky toys with fur.

She’s fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date with her 12-month heartworm prevention shot. All she needs now is a home that appreciates her goofy charm, her cuddly side, and her snort-powered soundtrack.

Not in the state of Texas? Nova is still available to be adopted! We use several reliable transport companies that can get these precious babies anywhere! Unfortunately, Texas doesn't have any spay/neuter laws in place so many rescues are overrun with amazing adoptable dogs and cannot find homes in the state. Shelters are euthanizing dogs at alarming rates right now so many rescues only hope is to ship out of state.

Email her foster mama Ashley at ashleytxrescue@gmail.com

Call or text 702-491-1088

Nova is short, stocky, and unforgettable — are you ready to add this little snort machine to your family?

Training time: she’s super treat motivated, learns fast, and struts on a leash like she owns the block.
