Norman's Story
Hi, my name is Norman. My previous family brought me to the SPCA when they could no longer care for me. They said that I’m nine years old, but I sure don’t feel, look, or act that old. My foster mom tires out way before I do. I LOVE playing ball for hours on end. I carry a ball with me all the time, even when I go to bed. I am very talented. I know how to play fetch, and I can even catch the ball and bounce it off my nose like a seal. I am a very happy fellow. I love to give kisses and be pet nonstop. I’m a really good snuggler, and love sleeping under the covers with my foster mom. But I don’t really like being held tight or picked up. I am happy all the time and promise to make my forever family happy too.

I really hate crates. My teeth are badly broken, and my foster family thinks it’s from being crated too long and trying to chew my way out. I am housebroken though, and am a good boy when left home alone. My foster mom thinks I’m silly because I prefer a laundry basket as my bed instead of the nice doggy bed she gave me. I keep my blanket and pillow, and of course a tennis ball or two, in my basket. Sometimes my foster mom forgets and throws clothes in there, but I make sure to drag them out of my bed!

I tolerate other dogs, though I prefer playing with my human friends more than my foster siblings. I show little interest in other pets, so a house with other animals would be OK with me. I am neutered and up-to-date on my vaccinations. I know some basic training commands and am a very well-mannered boy. Although, I could use some training on a leash… I just get so excited to go out! My foster family says that I will make a family very happy because I’m such a special boy!

Norman is currently being fostered in York County, PA.
