He LOVES to snuggle his person and would love to find someone to hang out with all day. He is very friendly and easy to care for—uses potty pads or will go outside in the yard or for a short walk, sleeps a lot and is quiet until it’s time to eat then he reminds you with a little chirp. He is happy to do his own thing (sleeping in a doggie bed) if you are busy or out of the house. But ideally he would love to have someone around most of the day to enjoy retirement with.<br/><br/>Norbert is UTD, HW negative, was neutered and had a dental with 17 extractions, full blood work and xrays. He has a little heart murmur but is in great shape for an older gentleman. He is a VERY good eater and a tiny little thing at only 7 lbs. He was very good for our vet and for grooming.<br/><br/>Norbert has so much love to give and is ready to find his person. We typically get in touch within 24-48 hours, but it may take up to 10 days. Please watch your email and answer your phone (from 201 area code) after you submit an application. Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower to reply to all applicants. <br/><br/>We also do not have the manpower to accept phone calls. Everything we know about the dog is posted above. Our adoption process is on our website. You can see more about our daily operations on our Facebook page. <br/><br/>PLEASE call your vet office right now and give them permission to speak with rescues if you are applying to adopt from any rescue. Ask them to mark your file. If they will not speak with us, we will move on to the next application and you will not be considered. <br/><br/>We consider out-of-area adoptions on a case-by-case basis. All meet & greets and adoptions are held in north New Jersey, and we do not transport our pups. You must come to NJ. We also do not “hold” dogs. It is “first qualified, first come” and our expectation is you will move quickly to conduct the meet & greet if you are approved. An approved application does not guarantee adoption of any dog from our rescue, and we reserve the right to deny adoption at any point during the process.
