Norah's Story
Norah is a beautiful 2-year-old Catahoula mix with a heart that's learning how to trust again.
Her story hasn't been an easy one. Before coming to us, Norah experienced abuse, and most recently, she lost the only home she'd known when her family had to move and could no longer keep her. Through it all, she's never stopped hoping that one day she'll find a family who will love her forever.

When you first meet Norah, she may seem shy and a little unsure. She's cautious around new people, but once she realizes she's safe, her sweet, loyal personality begins to shine. The bond she forms is deep, and she'll be the kind of dog who stands by your side through everything.

Norah is potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and has lived successfully with both dogs and cats. She absolutely loves to play with other dogs and would happily spend hours chasing her favorite squeaky toys. She's also wonderful with kids and has all the qualities of an incredible family companion.

Because of her past, Norah does have food aggression, so her meals should be managed carefully. While she's social and enjoys other dogs, she may thrive as the only dog in the home or with a family experienced in managing feeding routines.

What Norah wants more than anything is a place where she can finally exhale a home where she never has to wonder if she'll be hurt or left behind again.

If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will repay your patience with unwavering devotion, Norah is waiting. She doesn't need a perfect family just one willing to give her the second chance she's always deserved.
