Nora arrived at our shelter as a stray, malnourished but with no shortage of energy and enthusiasm. She is outgoing, playful, and loves to snuggle. She's still very much a puppy at under a year old. She's a slight 20 pounds and gaining with her healthy appetite.<br/><br/>Nora is currently in foster care. She loves the couch life, but also can't wait to get out for her walks. She has been to an outdoor café, a city park, and the farmers market where she has interacted joyfully with small children, adults, and other dogs. <br/><br/>Nora appears to have been pad trained and is transitioning to going outside. She is very curious and will need a secure space for running, playing, and exploring.. This little girl will bring a lot of happiness to an active, loving home. We can arrange to meet you at the shelter during or after open hours at a time that works for you. Shelter hours are 9-3 Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and 10 to noon on Saturday. It is always best to make an appointment by calling or texting 859-420-0175. If the phone is not answered right away, please leave a message and your call will be returned quickly!<br/><br/>We require an application. We can send you a copy by email, you can download one at fopcp.org, or we can arrange a time to fill one out over the phone. Our email address is pocoanimalshelter@gmail.com.<br/><br/>Adoption fees for dogs range from $150-$200. The fee covers the mandatory spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, dewormer, and first round of flea and tick preventatives. We accept cash, checks, and a QR code on the application allows you to pay by credit card, Pay Pal, or Google Pay. <br/><br/>We are happy to answer any questions you may have!
