NORA's Story

Nora arrived at the shelter in rough shape with a broken pelvis and road rash. She spent her first several weeks here recovering in our Q Room where our medical team made sure she got the extra care, rest and attention she needed. Thanks to them, she healed beautifully and is now healthy enough to be in our adoption areas. Let us be the first to tell you, Nora is the type of dog you want by your side. She is enthusiastic, loves spending time outdoors and has a natural curiosity for exploring. It does not take much to earn her love. Nora treats every person like a friend and has never met a stranger. She is playful, silly and absolutely adores squeaky toys. She also does well on a leash and checks in often to make sure you are still with her. We do not know what her past looked like, but she does not let it hold her back. She is sweet, social and wide open to the world. Unfortunately, Nora has not done well in her dog tests here at the shelter. It appears she would be happiest as the only dog in the home. With people, though, she is all heart. Nora is estimated to be around 4 years and weighs 43 pounds. All animals adopted from Huntsville Animal Services are microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, spayed/neutered and given a 30 day flea/tick preventative. Ready to meet Nora? Stop by 4950 Triana Blvd SW in Huntsville, Alabama. No appointment is necessary to meet our available animals. All adopters must be 19 years or older and be able to provide a valid ID.
