Noodle's Story
Noodle is a 6.5 month old male Shiba who was an owner surrender.
Noodle is up to date on vaccines and microchipped.
Due to his age, we waited to get Noodle neutered.
He will be adopted out on a spay/neuter contract with our Rescue.
Noodle is in foster care with Sarah & Ricky who resides in Rhode Island.
Here is what foster mom Sarah has to say about Noodle:

"If you are looking for your new best friend Noodle is your boy! This lovely boy just wants to be near you and snuggle. He loves pets and seeks attention. He's very silly and smart and is fully potty trained. He sleeps all night in his crate and loves to sleep in. He knows basic commands like sit, down and he's doing well with wait. He came to us with some resource guarding tendencies but after settling in with our routine and learning what is expected of him, he has not had any issues. Like every puppy he will see how much he can get away with. Setting boundaries and being consistent is a must with this breed and Noodle is no exception. He's only 6 months old and is still learning.
After a slow introduction, he has gotten along with my two other Shibas who are confident and easy going, so I think he could live with another dog like that. He is playful with them but is pretty respectful about giving them their space when they ask for it. His previous family had a small child that he wasn't happy about so he will have to go to a home with older respectful kids or just adults. Strangers can be a little scary sometimes but with continued training he should be able to overcome that. If you are ready to put in a little work to have the best dog ever, please put in your application because if he stays here for much longer I won't want to let him go 😆" Noodle would benefit with a secure fenced in yard so he can expel some of that Shiba puppy energy

If you are interested in adopting Noodle, please go to www.shibarescuenj.org and fill out an Adoption Application for us to review.
