Noodle's Story

Noodle is a resilient little survivor with a heart as big as her love for stuffed toys. Found as a stray and pulled from a shelter, this petite lady has overcome more than most dogs ever will. After emergency surgery for a life-threatening infection, dental extractions, and healing from the scars of overbreeding, Noodle is finally ready for her forever home—one where she can be the star of the show.

At almost eight years old, Noodle is proof that age is just a number. She is spunky, energetic, food-motivated, and incredibly smart. Her absolute favorite thing in the world is stuffed toys. She proudly carries them everywhere, collects them like treasures, and even tries to potty while holding one in her mouth.

Noodle wants nothing more than to dedicate herself completely to her people. She is a true Velcro Frenchie—whether you’re in the kitchen, on the couch, or even heading to the shower, she’ll be right by your side. She is affectionate, human-focused, and eager to please. Noodle loves to snuggle up close, but only if she has her favorite stuffy tucked in her mouth—it’s her own sweet little way of showing love and comfort. Because Noodle prefers to be the princess of her palace, she does best as the only pet in the home. Without other animals around, she doesn’t have to worry about sharing her toys, her space, or her humans—allowing her to fully dedicate herself to her people. In a one-pet household, Noodle can bask in all the attention, snuggle whenever she pleases, and follow her human around like the little shadow she loves to be. Her ideal home is calm, loving, and full of opportunities for cuddles, play, and just being together—where she can shine as the adored center of her family’s world.

We believe Noodle would do wonderfully in a home with children ages 4 and up, as her gentle disposition makes her a loving and patient companion. Since she does guard her toys, any interactions with children should be supervised to ensure everyone stays happy and safe. Noodle has not been around cats but given she would do best as an only dog we believe kitty friends are not in her future.

Noodle can be a little shy at first, but she quickly blossoms into a social butterfly who enjoys the company of her humans. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night, gives herself little “timeouts” when she knows she’s misbehaved, and loves spending time outdoors sunbathing and keeping watch over the yard. One important thing to know about Noodle is that she has a strong instinct to bolt through open doors.. Her future home must be extra cautious with exterior doors and provide a secure, escape-proof environment.

Noodle’s journey has been one of resilience and second chances, and she’s ready to finally soak up the love and attention she deserves. She is silly, sweet, and unforgettable. If you’re looking for a loyal, entertaining, and devoted companion who will happily be your one-and-only, Noodle is ready to devote herself to you—stuffie in tow.

Noodle’s foster family happily reports she is making great progress and working towards being nearly potty trained. She has come leaps and bounds since she arrived in rescue. Noodle doesn’t have a potty signal yet—her forever family will get to teach her that superstar cue. Until then, she requires a VIP escort for every outdoor “tinkle tour”; she’s a proud stage-5 clinger and absolutely considers bathroom breaks a team sport. Think of it as mandatory cuddle-bonding… with frequent fresh-air intermissions. A strict, regular, and consistent schedule will help with her continued potty training success in her new home. She is 100% crate trained and often retreats to her safe space for a nap when feeling sleepy. Noodle will happily enter the crate for a yummy treat! For her safety, we recommend that she maintain a similar schedule when her adoptive family leaves the home. Since Noodle adores her humans so much, we know she would eventually love to share a human bed at night with her adoptive family.

Medically, Noodle seems to be in overall great health! She has been spayed, updated on vaccinations/dewormings, microchipped, nares widened, palate shortened, dental with extractions, heartworm tested, and has been given a clean bill of health by our veterinarian!

Noodle would be happiest in a house with a securely fenced yard where she can explore, sunbathe, and keep watch over her domain (as opposed to a multiple-floor apartment-style dwelling with no yard). She is naturally curious, always eager to investigate every corner, and is still learning her boundaries. Noodle has mastered the stairs and handles them with ease. An apartment-style home with shared neighbors would not be the best fit for her, as she would not enjoy unexpected encounters with other furry beings that may be interested in her high-valued items.. She would, however, make a wonderful office companion if she were the only pet allowed in the space, happily curling up in a soft bed and snoozing the day away by your side. Noodle is also perfectly content to nap part of the day in her crate as long as her people can arrange a mid-day potty break. She would thrive in a home where she can be the center of attention and the apple (or pasta noodle!) of her adoptive family’s eye. Noodle would do well in a home with or without children and would absolutely love having a part-time or full-time work-from-home or stay-at-home family member to keep her company. With her sweet, loving, and gentle temperament, paired with her fun and playful energy, Noodle is an adorable little shadow who wants nothing more than to be with her people and join in on all the family adventures.

If you feel like your family might be the perfect forever home for Noodle, please visit our website to submit an adoption application for her today!!
https://snafurescue.org/adopt/noodle/
