Nome's Story

www.huskyrescueteam.org

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org

Meet Nome

At just 11 months old, Nome has already lived the life of a stray—waiting with no one coming for him. But rescue did, and now this tall, skinny boy with the longest tail is ready to find a home of his own.

Nome is still very much a big puppy, full of curiosity and fun. He’ll need a patient owner who can guide him as he learns the rules of the home. Yes, he’s been known to sneak a snack off the counter or chew on something he shouldn’t—but Nome is eager to please and super easy to redirect. His goofy, derpy personality makes every day with him a joy.

High-energy and playful, Nome loves wrestling with other dogs and would thrive in a home with canine companions and an active lifestyle. A fenced yard is a must, and he’ll do best with people who aren’t gone for long workdays. He’s crate trained, mostly housetrained, strong on a leash, and loves his walks. Food motivates him, pets delight him, and his happy spirit is contagious.

Nome’s best buddy at the rescue is Freya—so if you don’t already have a dog at home, consider adopting them together for double the fun.

Nome is looking for a family who understands the curious, mischievous nature of the Husky breed and is ready to embrace all the love, laughter, and adventure he brings.

He is located in Maryland. His adoption area is NJ, DE, PA, MD, VA - nearby states to these considered on a case by case basis. More pictures on our website.

~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in. If you’re still interested in adopting from our rescue the first step is to complete our adoption application online at www.huskyrescueteam.org/apply

If you have additional questions please email info@huskyrescueteam.org
