She absolutely adores her people and is happiest when shes by your sidewhether shes cuddling on the couch, resting at your feet while you work, or joining you for an adventure.<br/><br/>She is fully house-trained and has had no accidents in her foster home. Nola is also kennel-trained and actually loves her crate! She happily sleeps there through the night and often chooses it for daytime naps. Her kennel is her safe, cozy place.<br/><br/>Nola enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play. Chasing and retrieving a ball is one of her favorite activities, and shell gladly burn off her youthful energy with a game of fetch or a nice walk. Shes wonderful on a leash and is an easy, enjoyable walking companion. Whether exploring the neighborhood or visiting busy places like Lowes, she has remained calm, friendly, and non-reactive around both people and other dogs.<br/><br/>Shes a smart girl with good recall and loves earning treats, making her eager to learn even more. She rides beautifully in the car, isnt bothered by household noises like the vacuum cleaner, and has excellent house manners. She doesnt chew on things she shouldnt, although she does enjoy chewing on durable natural wood chew toys. (Soft plush toys, however, dont stand much of a chance against her determination to find the squeaker!)<br/><br/>Nola is currently being introduced to living with a cat. Shes shown more curiosity than concern and has been doing well with slow introductions and positive reinforcement. Shes making steady progress, and her foster family believes shell continue to improve with patience and consistency.<br/><br/>Another bonus? Nola has very little noticeable shedding, making her an easy companion to keep looking her best.<br/><br/>At mealtime, shes a fan of salmon and sweet potato recipes and happily looks forward to breakfast, an afternoon snack, and dinner.<br/><br/>Nola is the kind of dog who will happily join you on walks, ride along on errands, play fetch in the backyard, and then curl up beside you at the end of the day. APPLICATIONS WHERE YOUNG DOGS ARE LEFT LONG HOURS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED .<br/><br/>GHR ONLY ADOPTS TO ADULTS OVER THE AGE OF 25 AND PUPPIES TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE TIME FOR THEM. WE DO NOT ADOPT TO FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5.<br/><br/>PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THESE PUPS ARE RESCUES, THEIR BREED MIX AND BIRTH DATES ARE UNKNOWN BUT WITH THE HELP OF OUR VET WE MAKE THE BEST EDUCATED GUESS. MOST OF THE PUPS ARE IN FOSTER CARE DOWN SOUTH WITH A RESCUE GROUP THAT WE HELP.<br/><br/>It doesn't matter where the pups are from; it only matters where they live the rest of their lives.
