NOLA's Story

NOLA was rescued from the Vegas shelter, weighing only 57lbs, dirty, and terrified. At the time of her confinement, the shelter was on lock down because several dogs tested for canine pneumovirus; Nola did not test positive, but was quarantined for 14 days and she suffered, she did not eat well and was not engaging , with staff. She did not know it but she was creating her own death sentence. Placed on the kill list, a staffer told our (pot belly pigs) rescue she was a Great Pyr (she was/is not purebred GP) so we drove to Vegas and picked her up. She was immediately loving and friendly. She LOVES our littles, but she does not love our great pyrenes dogs, she is loyal and protective over the small dogs, she takes ownership of areas (front porch, space by the cats where the cooler is) and if our big dogs walk by, she will jump up and lash out. Nola LOVES the water, she loves to play, will play for hours and lets the little dogs jump on her, bite her, pull her tail (we have video) and has never ever growled at them, she just adores little dogs. Please, consider coming to the pig rescue and spend some time with NOLA!!!!
