Hi, I'm Nokia! I'm a 3-year-old Shepherd/Chow Chow mix that is about 43 lbs. I came to ATR with my puppies after I was found as a stray. <br/><br/>I'm a tender, sweet girl with a quiet nature and a very observant personality. I take my time watching the world around me before deciding that I'm ready to join in. In my foster home, I'm discovering more and more of life's little comforts! I've learned that stuffed toys and Kongs are pretty fun, and that couches and cozy blankets make wonderful places to nap. I also love soaking up the sunshine outside and following my foster dog sibling around. I'm crate trained, potty trained, gentle with children, and very sweet with my people.<br/><br/>I'm looking for a calm, patient family who understands that I will need plenty of time to decompress, ideally with a securely fenced yard to give me a safe, comfortable space to explore as I continue coming out of my shell. A confident, friendly mentor dog is a must for me, because having another dog to follow and learn from helps me feel safe and shows me that the world isn't so scary. It's been incredibly rewarding to watch me slowly come out of survival mode and discover that I can relax, enjoy life, and just be a dog. I may take quite a while to fully open up, but if you're willing to let me move at my own pace and celebrate the little milestones along the way, you'll get to watch a very special girl discover her confidence.
