Noki's Story

Noki does wonderfully when left home alone and happily stays on the main floor, curling up in her bed and relaxing until her people return. She has anxiety around crates, but doesn't need one, she's always been respectful and well-mannered when given free roam.

On leash, Noki is strong yet very polite. She listens well and knows her basic commands including sit, stay, come, and heel/walk nicely. Around the house, she loves to follow her favorite people from room to room, soaking up companionship. She doesn't beg for food or counter surf, instead patiently waiting for guidance. Belly rubs are a favorite, and she's always eager for affection.

Noki communicates clearly when she needs to go out or come back in, and if you miss her cues, she'll gently remind you with her adorable Husky "talk." She's gentle and sweet when meeting new people and often rolls right over for a belly rub. Once she's comfortable, she becomes very affectionate, offering kisses and curling up right by your side.

She's not especially toy-motivated, though she has enjoyed fetch and tug at times. Her absolute favorite activities happen outdoors, especially in the snow! Noki loves snow play, chasing, hide-and-seek, and even digging snow tunnels. She looks forward to her daily routine of two 1-mile walks, one in the morning and one in the evening.

Intelligent, friendly, affectionate, and loyal, Noki is a quick learner who thrives on routine. She seems to do well with other dogs but would require a no-cat home. She is currently in a only pet house and does well as the only pet in a calm, quiet household and has done very well living with a teenage child. Noki enjoys a peaceful environment and people who can give her lots of attention.

One of her cutest traits is her Husky talk, she's not much of a barker, but she loves expressing herself with her silly, chatty noises. Her gentle, loving nature balances beautifully with her adventurous spirit. Noki has a special way of making people feel truly loved, and her sweet presence leaves a lasting impression.

We look forward to working with you to find the right match! TIMELINE Our primary objective is to assure the correct match for the people and the pets that we’re sending to their forever homes. Our goal is to send dogs and cats home as quickly as we can, while still being thorough. To keep the process moving along, please make sure you’ve done your part: 1) Fill out your application completely - missing information slows down the process. 2) Let your references know to expect our call. 3) If you rent, let your landlord know to expect our call. 4) If you currently have pets, ask your veterinarian to be prepared to release your records.
