Nog's Story
Born outside during a cold Ontario winter, Nog is a survivor thanks to her amazing Mom who almost lost her life caring for her pups. Mom is a middle aged dog that solely lived outside and was nothing but skin & bones when she and her litter of puppies arrived into rescue care. Mom & some of the other littermates joined other rescues and Mattie's Place welcomed Nog and her sister Egg.

Mom had a DNA test completed: 50% Rottweiler, 30% Labrador Retriever, 19% American Pit Bull Terrier. Dad Unknown.

On arrival December 23rd Egg weighed in at a tiny 1.9 KG- 4 pounds. At her last vet appointment, January 8th, she is flourishing and weighed in at 4.60 KG / 10 pounds! At her vaccine booster appointment, February 10, she weighed in at Nog - 9.7 kg / 21 pounds. I don't know what her adult weight will be, but presumably she'll be a 55-60 pound adult dog.

Her DOB: 11-25-25

Nog is a puppy, so she will need someone home most often being so young still so she can learn all she needs to learn at this informative stage in her life. An adopter willing to work with a professional trainer is a preference, so I'm certain she will grow into a respected adult dog. She will fit into most lifestyles; kids | dogs | cats | various humans, as she's just a baby.

She is a calm, confident pup waiting to find her perfect adoption match.

Nog will have her 2nd vaccine booster with more dewormer before adoption and her final vaccine booster with more dewormer will at my veterinarian in Unionville at the cost of Mattie's Place.

Her non-negotiable spay, that will be noted in the adoption contract, will take place in May 2026 at the cost of Mattie's Place, again, at my veterinarian in Unionville. Adopters are expected to transport to vet appointments. The dates will form part of the adoption contract.

If you're looking for a darling pup, Nog should certainly be a dog to consider! Just be sure you understand all the work & commitment that comes with adopting a puppy.

FROM THE FOSTER:

It is my pleasure as Nogs foster mom to tell you about this beautiful little one.

Nog has been doing great in foster care.

She has a good appetite with her puppy kibble. She is doing really well with using her pee pads.

Nog is a little more nervous when meeting new people but once she knows you're safe, she's terrific and really sweet!

She is very smart and learning quickly.

She loves playing with her toys, cuddling up in a warm blanket and since she's in her mouthing stage while teething, she's thankful for a good bully stick or chew toy.

She also loves her quiet time with belly rubs and snuggles before bed.

Nog is a sweet little love bug.

------------------------------------

$875 ADOPTION FEE INCLUDES: spay/neuter, deworming, flea/tick prevention, vaccinations, dentals if needed or any added surgical needed surgical care, food, nose to tail health exam, toys, leash|collar, winter coat (seasonal), poop bags, dishes and 30 days of Trupanion pet insurance with immediate coverage on adoption day for any illness or injury not pre-existing.

----------------------------------------

To note: the above description is relevant to this dog in it's current & previous setting. Home changes & adopter personalities can bring out different behaviours not previously seen.
