Noah!!'s Story
Noah needs a hero. A quiet home with a patient guardian.

Noah is a save from Bradshaw! His only issue was his stranger danger with men. He loves other dogs and toys/play. He is about 1.5 years old (a/o May 2023)

Noah has stranger danger and mostly with men. However he has successfully had several great relationships with men since he has come into our rescue. Some were immediately solid, some took more time. Mainly it has to do with the confidence of the handler and the amount of time invested in playing with him. Noah gains trust through play.

Noah is very smart and high energy. He loves to play fetch, chase toys and hang from his tree toys. He has made tremendous progress with his current foster and loves his dad. Since he uses play to build trust, playing with him is the first step. Once he trusts you, you are in.

He is the highest jumper we have ever seen but he has not tried to escape. If he is to be kenneled at any point it should be a covered kennel or he needs to be supervised. But he has never escaped to date. Or really tried to, that we've noticed. He did jump a fence to meet some horses but immediately jump back over when he realized how big they were.

Noah loves other dogs. That is his strongest and best trait. He can be in any situation, even a pack of dogs ( play group) and he excels. He loves to play. Play is his love language.

Because of Noah's stranger danger he has not been exposed to a lot of children. So he does have special needs. Noah needs to be introduced to new people following a protocol. Once a bond is built he is generally solid with that person. We can share ways to introduce Noah to new people.

The perfect home for Noah would be one with a large yard, where he can run. He was on a farm with horses, donkeys, llamas and he was curious but pretty indifferent. The fences need to be fairly high and if there are some trees to hang some toys from , he will keep himself busy for days. Lots of ball play. He does not need to go anywhere. He can be a stay at home dog. He will need slow introductions to people and always done the same way so he knows what to expect or just put him in his crate when you have company. He is crate trained and if he has some toys he will just hang out. He deserves a home of his own. He has been in boarding , where he learned to trust strangers, but is now in a foster home and we have learned so much about him. He loves the people he trusts. He is a special case and honestly is what rescue is about. A special dog that is worked with so he gets a second chance.

Take a chance on this boy. Noah needs a hero. He is not the easiest dog but he is worth the effort.

Interested in meeting Noah?
