Noah's Story

From Noah's foster:

We are calling the dog Noah, he has started responding to us when we call him by his name. He
is an outside dog, we have not allowed him to come into the house.
Noah loves being around people. He is very friendly around other people, our adult kids, our
grandchildren, and other service providers (lawn service, pest control, repair service men). He
wants to be petted and have human contact. There have been no biting issues to date.
He is territorial with other dogs and animals that come up to our property, (porch area) but has
had no biting issue or fighting with other animals.
He is playful with a few toys (frisbee and ball) but takes off running with them when we try to
retrieve them from him. He wants us to chase him.
He loves to run. He is extremely fast and has a big area to expend his extra energy. He loves to
tug on an old rug we have and run around with it. He also loves to go exploring the property
around us and has brought back old bones he has found and enjoys laying around and chewing on
the old bones.
He comes to us when we call him by name, but does not respond to commands. He is extremely
smart and with some work he could be trained.
He is not house trained, he is a free-range dog. We believe he was an outside dog before being
dumped by our property in August 2025, and roamed several weeks with the pack (about 6 dogs)
that was abandoned on our road. The pack roamed throughout the acreages of our neighbors and
neighborhood and Noah ended staying on our front porch.
He eats 3 times a day. Usually roams the property and plays in the morning, sleeps a little in the
afternoon. He sleeps most of the night in his dog house. He stays outside and has an automatic
feeder and water dispenser.
We have taken him on a leash, but it still needs more work.
He is a very friendly dog and is very smart. He is going to need a fairly strong adopter (probably
male). He is extremely strong for his size, but is very sweet and gentle. He just loves to be
around people. We do not know anything more about his past since he was dumped. He likes to
go visit the dogs next door and stir them up with barking, but then always comes back to our
house. He needs a large property or yard to run in. He loves roaming and running.
We are guessing he is 1-2 years old. He has not been spayed yet so of course that's an issue but
nothing serious
