Little Nita (Little Bear in Native American or Gift of God in Spanish) was surrendered to our groomer in Houston who reached out for rescue. We can only assume Nita was a Christmas present and no longer wanted. We took this precious little girl into our rescue.
Nita is possibly a German Spitz and may have she Shepherd in her. She is 10 weeks old and weighs 10 lbs. She should be a nice medium size dog once fully grown ranging between 30 and 40 lbs.
Nita's video: https://youtu.be/VavaTv8sD3U
About Spitz: https://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/german-spitz#/slide/1
Nita gets along with other dogs and is very playful with them. She will need work with house-training but Nita is very smart and will learn quickly.
She is also learning to sleep in her crate.
Nita is micro-chipped and has received her first set of vaccines and has been dewormed.
We think Nita still being a puppy would do well in a home with kids 8 years and older and even possibly cats.
