Nino's Story

Breed: Yorkie Mix
Gender: Male
Age:
Size: 10.2 lbs
Good with: Dogs but timid around new people

Meet Nino! This sweet Yorkie has been through more than most dogs should ever have to endure. After surviving a hoarding situation, Nino is learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and comfortable—and he makes little steps of progress every day.

Nino is a gentle, incredibly timid boy who needs a patient person willing to let him take things at his own pace. He does best in calm, quiet environments and feels most comfortable around dogs he knows. Once he feels safe, his curious side comes out—he loves to explore his surroundings and discover the world at his own speed.

Nino may need a little extra time and understanding, but every bit of trust he gives is incredibly special. He's looking for a peaceful forever home where he can continue to grow, feel secure, and finally experience the loving life he deserves.

Disclaimer:
The information in this profile is based on observations made while this dog has been in our shelter environment. We strive to describe each dog accurately; however, behavior and needs may change in a new home, routine, or environment.

Our dogs are not free-roaming in homes. “Potty trained” indicates reliable crate training, not confirmed free-roam house training. Accidents may occur during the transition to a new home, and additional training should be expected.

All dogs have been examined by our veterinarian, are spayed or neutered, and are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations at the time of adoption. While we provide all known medical information, we cannot guarantee future health or the absence of underlying conditions.

ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.happyfacespetranch.org

Once your application has been approved, a representative will be in touch to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog based on the dog's individual needs.
