Nini's Story

Meet adorable 38 lb pocket pittie Nini!
She was saved from the North Central shelter in LA. She is a year and a half old, spayed, up-to-date on her vaccines, micro chipped, and has the sweetest Gentlest disposition ever.
She was bullied by all of her kennel mates in three different kennels and was always found cowering in the corner. She is non-confrontational and just happy all the time she's a smart pup and loves to give paw for treats. She rides excellent in the car, is very friendly with strangers upon meeting, loves to cuddle on the couch and is dog friendly. If you need a cutie patootie in your life to welcome you with kisses when you get home from work reach out to meet your next soul dog!

Healing Hounds Rescue's Adoption Policy
I have them fill out my foster/adoption contract and after receiving I call to vet them and understand their abilities and the type of dog they would like. We have a good hour long convo of everything from slow introductions, training, positive reinforcement, needs of the dog, and the adopters expectations. I either do a home check or ask for pictures of where the dog would be staying, sleeping, eating. Then we plan a meet and greet with adopter and adopters other animals or family members to see how the dog reacts. I want to set up my rescues for success and make sure it's a good fit for everyone.
