NINA's Story

Meet NINA!

***Nina is being fostered in Annapolis, MD now and is ready for a meet and greet with any potential adopter!***

She is a whopping 7 lbs and estimated to be 12-13 weeks old as of April 19, 2026. We think she’s a Chihuahua mixed with some sort of terrier and Lab. And yes - that's actually possible! Her estimated full-grown weight will be around 20ish pounds (best guess).

First and foremost, let's talk about those EARS! No, the wind is not blowing in any of these photos. And no, she is not directing traffic ;) Nina's ears have a mind of their own and seem to go up, to the side - you name it - in mostly all of her photos. She is a very uniquely expressive little pup!

Nina just loves kids! Currently, she is being fostered in a home with a 5 year old girl! She loves the hustle and bustle. As you can tell from the video, she enjoys a good romp around the yard and really enjoys playing.

She's also with her siblings now as well as 5 other adult dogs and gets along great with all of them.

We know she’d be good with cats as well given her age. It's a great time to do introductions!

She is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.

Please feel free to email us with any questions about him! The best fit for the dog is our priority.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.

In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.

FlyDogzPR upholds a thorough adoption process. The steps are as follows: 1) The potential adopter fills out a detailed adoption application for a specific animal. 2) FlyDogzPR reviews the application and deems the application suitable for the animal. 3) If deemed a suitable home, FlyDogz contacts the potential adopter to schedule a virtual interview and home check during which time the potential adopter can ask questions about the animal and FlyDogz can further determine if the home is a good fit. 4) If FlyDogz wishes to proceed, references are contacted and the adopter’s veterinarian is called for past pet records and a reference. 5) If the potential adopter is cleared to adopt, a meet and greet with the animal (either in person or virtual) can be scheduled and if the adopter confirms he/she wishes to proceed and adopt the animal, then arrangements are made for contract to be signed, payment made, and animal to be given to the adopter.
